4 Tier Annihilation Method Review- Will Alex Goad’s Newest Product Hit Paydirt?
Check out the Sales Page of 4 Tier Annihilation Method here….
Okay, I want to preface this review by stating for the record that after reviewing several of the new products, I was convinced that the “gurus” had finally hit the proverbial brick wall in terms of giving up any relevant information on ways to really making money online. In fact, if you take a look at my first reviews, Affiliate Conspiracy review and Facebook Payday review, you will see that I have been less than kind to either for what they are claiming versus what they are really giving. Just to put it in its simplest terms, I am fairly experienced and expect a lot if the price tag is higher than a $20 or so. In regards to the author, Alex Goad, I have pretty much been disappointed with his previous books as they came across as simply a well put together private label rights book. That said, I was pleasantly surprised at Alex Goad’s latest product, the 4 Tier Annihilation Method.
I should probably mention that if you are looking for a blueprint on how to make money using ebay, you should be aware that if you are doing what everyone else is doing, then you will most likely get the same results. In other words, if you have a thousand other people using the methods in 4TAM, then chances are it will dilute the opportunity. How do you get around this?
- Learn the method
- Practice the method
- Ask to yourself…”how can I improve the method?”
- Evolve…
Now despite the hype surrounding this book (and its name), I found that 4 Tier Annihilation Method actually had a blueprint (somewhat) in which even the newbie marketer could potentially draw from. And with this said, I will go over what is in this book and accompanying videos.
I am going to state for the record that the information ‘revealed’ in this book is not new information. In fact, you can probably find this information in various blogs and websites all around the net. Also, this is by no means one of those get rich quick products and will take a little work and some technical no-how to actually implement. That said, all of Alex Goad’s methods in this book actually work…..a couple of them I have actually employed or am employing currently.
And finally, yes folks. This is a book on how to profit with eBay. In other words, if you aren’t interested in using eBay as a vehicle to make money, then this book will not serve you well at all. All of the methods discussed actually strike the heart of how to make money online with eBay.
The 4 Tier Annihilation Method Review
First, we are going to start with the 4 Tier Annihilation Method e-book. As I said in the opening paragraph, I have been less than impressed with Alex Goad’s previous products, in large part due to the fact that they just felt like they were written by someone else and then pieced together. Not so in the case of 4TAM. Either Alex finally got off his lazy ass and actually spent the time writing it himself or he found some pretty damn good ghost writers because the book reads very well.
The 4 Tiers in this book actually refers to the prices of different products that you can sell online using eBay. The tiers are set up as a pyramid with the lowest tier (bottom of pyramid) being the products that sell for under $100. The second tier supposedly can make you $1,000+ a month. And so one until you get to the final tier in which you can make some serious change called “tier x”.
In order to make these tiers work properly and efficiently, Alex has developed a formula which involves 6 steps. While I won’t get into the actual steps, I want you to know that if you have ever developed a niche or product line to sell then chances are you already know these steps as they are what I feel, business 101. However, if you are new, then this formula might serve you well. Oh, and just to provide a hint into this formula, the first step is…..research…<<<<< see…like I said, pretty rudimentary.
In Alex’s defense, although the steps are rudimentary, he does give you some good places to start researching your products to determine whether they will be profitable.
Since this is geared exclusively for eBay and other similar auctions, I would like to also note that Alex shows not only how to research products effectively but also gives a pretty good lesson on how to find products that actually sell on eBay. As you may or may not know, just because something is listed on eBay, doesn’t necessarily mean that it will sell there. The object for anyone looking to exploit a niche on eBay is to find what actually gets moved. Just knowing this little piece of information can be the difference between spinning your wheels and wasting a ton of time and actually making money.
The first steps or formulas are definitely worth the time of anyone who wants to know how the “big boys” work eBay to make real money.
Also, one of the highlights that I found in the 4 Tier Annihilation Method was the outsourcing methods that Alex suggests. Outsourcing is probably not the word that Alex wanted to go for when writing this though. I think the better word is dropshippers. Now before you roll your eyes and think “god, I don’t want to deal with dropshippers”, understand that in this case it is a little different. Rather than actually searching for a dropshipper, Alex uses a site (that I am very familiar with) to negotiate prices with companies that wouldn’t necessarily be considered traditional dropshippers. And yes, if you search hard enough online, you will be able to find the company (or you could shoot me an email).
Once again, I want to reiterate that the methods described in 4TAM books is not a get rich quick formula. This section alone (in which he goes over formulas and what not) gives 2 very sound strategies that will get you making money quickly but only if you work at it. Both deal with actually contacting people and building working relationships. And this will probably turn off more than a few people hoping to cash in on a “secret” which isn’t a bad thing for those of us who don’t mind getting our hands dirty along the way.
Another Method in which Alex gets into is how to circumvent eBay’s recent rule as far as selling digital products go. A month or two ago, eBay stopped allowing things like ebooks from being sold via the auctions. Now, you could turn the ebook into a product but what you would have to do is actually ship the product in the form of a CD. As you can imagine, this has killed alot of ebook vendors from selling their wares online (by the way, because of this, it paves the way for those marketers who can think outside the box to enter this fairly lucrative market).
Now, the good news in regards to 4 Tier Annihilation Method is that there are actually “blueprints” if you will attached. I am using this word fairly loosely as it is my belief that straight out of the box blueprints can be fairly worthless when there are hundreds or thousands of people doing them. However, Alex is kind enough to use actual examples (which I tried to find some of the vendors in the examples but couldn’t) to drive home his point for each of the blueprints. This is good because it gives a total newbie the actual ability to VISUALIZE what he or she is looking for.
While I won’t get into the techniques, here are just a few of the things that the 4TAM book goes over. I will preface this with the statement that none of these techniques are new or groundbreaking (what is anymore?). However, on the plus side, Alex actually uses good, solid examples to drive his point home. This makes it very easy for someone who doesn’t quite get it to see things crystal clear:
- Selling information using PLR and MRR products- this technique goes over how to sell or create your own products using eBay. Most of this is not going to be groundbreaking but it will give you a good idea on how to basically whip up a product and place it on eBay.
- How to Sell actual “businesses in a box” websites- In this example, Alex shows how to go about finding which of these actually sells well on eBay and how to build a profitable product that people would be willing to spend money on. Once again, not ground breaking but the example will give you a clear picture of what to look for.
- How to build a business around “free” or open source products- This is otherwise known as “leeching” and what you basically do is grab an open source product (such as The Gimp) and sell it. I know that this works because I do it and you would be amazed at how many people are willing to purchase something that would be otherwise for free if they just did a search.
- Arbitrage Site Flipping- In this part of the book, Alex goes over how to take an existing site, purchase it and sell it for more on eBay. I have tried this before and have received mixed results. On a side note, it you intend to do something like this, understand that it is a numbers game and you will most likely lose some as well.
- Domain Flipping- A lot of websites talk about doing this and there is certainly a lot of competition out there that you will be pitted up against. Once again, I do this but do it on for my websites. You can use Just to give you an example, here is one of my websites that I am building that is basically about soccer and the history of soccer. I picked this domain up from freshdrop.net and if you take a look at the home page, you will see that it is a 9 year old domain and has a PR of 6 with 573 links to it. I bought the domain for $5. If I was to sell this on eBay right now, what do you think I would get for this?
- How to sell premium items- The top of the 4 Tier Annihilation Method- In this final part of the book Alex shows how to really ramp things up and sell the higher priced eBay items that really sell. For instance, most of us would never think that someone would use eBay to sell premium watches (when I say premium, I mean the watches that cost $20,000+) or luxury cars or homes but they do. Now, this method requires a lot of wheeling and dealing but pretty much makes you the middle man between the seller of the premium item and the buyer on eBay. This method is the real deal folks but understand that it takes work and those of you without “people skills” need not apply. Incidentally, this method can be used for literally anything that a vendor sells and you can apply this knowledge to things outside the scope of eBay. (Grizzly has a great post on how to generate leads for companies that kind of goes over the same things).
- How to use eBay Classifieds to make money- The final parts of the 4 Tier Annihilation Method, which is roughly 30 pages goes over some basic aspects of affiliate marketing and how to use them when you are selling products on eBay. This is what I would consider primarily fluff and may be worth a skim at best if you have been involved with affiliate marketing for over a year. Personally, I found this stuff worthless but perhaps it would be good for a newbie.
That is pretty much the 4 tier annihilation method in a nutshell. I found the book to be well constructed over all, with some very good models that even a newbie can use to make money immediately. That said, I should reiterate that blueprints straight out of the box rarely work well. What I would suggest you to do if you were to buy this book is to actually take in this information and then ask yourself…..
How can I change this up to make this method better??
That is the key to actually making money online. Learn the model and build on it, making it not only your own but a better method than what is currently out there.
